Summary

Community Life Improvement Foundation - CLIFO is a local Non-governmental Organization, situated in Njombe district - Tanzania, operates in whole Tanzania mainland and registered with registration No. 000NGO/00007705. The Organisation (CLIFO) eagered to initiate progressive and pro-poor projects and programmes to help vulnerable people in the rural areas of Tanzania. Our target is to serve local vulnerable women, children, youth and marginalized groups in rural areas.
The organization runs its activities through the generous support from the government and internal and external donors and participation of individuals and interested global entities partners. CLIFO is working in partnership with rural communities on a wide range of development issues like agriculture, environmental conservation, capacity building, health, entrepreneurship development, human rights, education, and conventional issues in projects (HIV/AIDS, gender, drug abuse and globalizations). We aggressively target and focus on vulnerable groups in all regions of Tanzania to offer fully comprehensive support to all groups in Tanzania. 

Our Mission

Community Life Improvement Foundation (CLIFO) aspires to provide  high quality and sustainable services to the vulnerable people (especially in the rural areas) through democratic participation by using available resources and opportunities to improve the quality and standard of life and income of the people.

 

Objectives

• To encourage, unite and support effort on betterment of agricultural improvement on crop cultivation and animal husbandry.
• To produce high quality research, provide training, facilitate knowledge sharing and promote the use of accurate information in policy development and social-economic development to the community.
• To fight against HIV/AIDS scourges by implementing and educating the people on its prevention and treatments.
• To concentrate efforts on creation awareness and mobilize resources to improve and develop public sectors in order to reduce the prevailing poverty.
• To minimize, terminate or otherwise deal with problems and affairs of vulnerable groups (orphaned children, Women, Youth and disabled people) in Tanzania by all legal and ethical means.
• For the purpose of enforcing the improvement to people living in extreme poverty, CLIFO   shall embark on efforts of establishment and distribution of social services according to the community needs.
• To hold initiatives that will ensure optimal utilization of the people own labour force and resources for their Improvement.
• To encourage  enforcement of human rights, good governance, transparency, participatory on decision making, anti-corruption to the community.
• To initiate the carrying out of substantial steps to prevent involvement of youngsters in the trading and use of drugs in the whole country.
• To encourage, unite and support efforts on betterment of agricultural improvement of crop cultivation and animal husbandry.

We aggressively target and focus on all regions of Tanzania to offer fully comprehensive support to all groups in Tanzania. We fully understand the challenges and complex operating environment that NGOs are faced with in the country and also recognize the ever changing dynamics that NGOs are faced with. Our commitment and focus to offering a full service approach is going to be our success in establishing strong and lasting relationships with our community. Our vision and focus range is vast but not limited and our commitment to the community needs remains the most important focus of what we strive to achieve.
